About
I have had a lifelong passion for fabrics. Fabrics are woven in to our daily lives, they stimulate visually and have a tactile sensory quality. I began sewing from an early age and completed City and Guilds Fashion Design at Ordinary and Advanced levels. I worked in the textile industry for over 35 years in the multi-generational family business alongside my husband and sons, manufacturing high density pile fabrics.
My life's journey has changed course and Hubberton Crafts is the new path I am exploring. I am having fun with fabrics and materials including paper, leather, wood and glass, crafting to create a range of products that hopefully customers will enjoy themselves or happily give to others as gifts. Upcycling and refurbishing products is also satisfying knowing that, with a little creativity, that item will be enjoyed by someone and ultimately remain useful and reduce waste. Our emphasis is on individuality and unique though we produce some items in small batches.
Meet up with us face to face at craft fairs and county shows. Please see Events listing for where we will be exhibiting.
We aim to give a personal service so every customer has a positive experience.
